Software
Parimics offers software on the host for select verticals. This software displays results obtained from the chipset, requests user feedback and input if so required, and allows for changing parameters, adding code to the embedded software, and updating the embedded software on the chipset.
This code is available for Parimics' customers at an additional cost. It is not required to run the embedded software on the chipset. This code makes use of the APIs and can be replaced by the customers' code.
As an example, the chipset extracts object information from the video stream, and hands this information over to the host. This information can be vehicle speed. For the driver to make a decision, this speed must be interpreted and displayed. Extrapolating the past motion data and correlating it to other objects' motion will require the automotive host software.
