Processor Chipsets Parimics is preparing two chipsets for different performance requirements and price points for the market. The first chipset can be deployed in mass markets and provides a deterministic throughput of up to 200 frames per second, depending on external SRAM and DRAM that the solution cost dictates. The second chipset is targeted towards applications that cannot be implemented in any other way. It processes frame data deterministically at substantially higher frame rates and is suitable for MRI, NMR and other medical applications. Both are fully software-compatible among each other and use the same SDK and IDE. Schematics and other design-in information is available under NDA. Our intellectual property enables the implementation of products which analyze images and
sequences of images in true and hard real-time. These processor chipsets are more energy-
and instruction-efficient that any other processor in the advanced
real-time image analysis marketplace. While it may be possible to build cheaper and smaller
processors for the image analysis marketplace, we contend that for real-time image and video
analysis there is no other processor chipset in existence that consumes less power, is easier
to program, scales across a whole product line and performance range and offers a lower cost
over its development phase and life cycle than Parimics' processor chipset. Our hardware is
the basis for that unique advantage, and we build upon it. While oftentimes software is a
unique distinguishing element, for image analysis the underlying processor chipset must be
capable of supporting this kind of software to build a subsystem that can fulfill the promise
of the software. |
